James Brown established the thriving craft beer community known as Beer52 in the summer of 2013. Beer52 was founded as a result of a motorbike journey James did with his father, during which they stopped at breweries in Belgium and James developed a passion for craft beer. Since then, Beer52 has made it its aim to discover the best beers in a new nation every month. With the inclusion of Fraser, a friend of James, Beer52 has expanded into the most well-known beer club in the world, having been to 49 nations, discovered 708 brews, and visited 213 breweries.

Each member of the Beer52 staff has a distinctive beer preference, making up a diverse collection of people. From the co-founder Fraser Doherty, who adores a cold Irishman, to the creative content producer Douglas Garry, who is thrilled about Must Kuld Each member of the New England team adds to the company's rich tapestry of beer appreciation. Beer52 is about creating a community as much as it is about learning about and appreciating craft beers. In their magazine, Ferment, they want their readers to read about their exploits, score and review the brews, and accompany them on their voyage. By assisting small breweries in creating intriguing new beers and giving their members the chance to sample them early, they also support the industry. Beer52 continues to set the standard for craft beer despite receiving multiple awards, including Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Best Independent Beer Retailer.
