Bella Italia, formerly known as Bella Pasta, is a well-known chain of over 90 restaurants in the UK and Ireland that serves food with Italian influences. The restaurant group, which owns other well-known brands including Café Rouge and Las Iguanas, includes the business in its portfolio. Pastificio and Pizzaland, two little-known restaurant businesses that were a part of the Grand Metropolitan organisation, were the forerunners of Bella Italia. Michael Guthrie purchased these franchises in 1991 and changed the name of Pastificio to Bella Pasta. In December 2002, the Bella Pasta chain underwent a rebranding to become Bella Italia, with the first completely branded restaurant debuting in Leeds.

Pizza and spaghetti are Bella Italia's mainstays, but they also offer a variety of grilled and gourmet meals on their menu. A variety of Italian wines, many from lesser producers, beers, and soft beverages are offered to go with the food. For its customers, this offers a thorough Italian dining experience. Bella Italia has also participated in several partnerships over the years, including joining the Nectar loyalty card reward programme as a partner in redemption in 2012 and starting a partnership with the Gourmet Society in 2013, which provides members with discounts when they present a Gourmet Society restaurant discount card.

Bella Italia strives to give back to the community in addition to offering fantastic dining experiences. Bella Italia started formally sponsoring The Children's Society in June 2012 by giving a portion of the sales from a certain dish on the menu to the organisation. In 2013, Bella Italia formally joined forces with Comic Relief, a British nonprofit organisation that works to "bring about positive and lasting change in the lives of poor and disadvantaged people." Bella Italia's dedication to philanthropy exemplifies its commitment to providing excellent meals as well as having a beneficial social influence.
