The brand is owned by Dickson Concepts, a Hong Kong-based luxury products company that has 14 branches across the globe.

The origins of Harvey Nichols may be traced back to Benjamin Harvey, who in 1831 founded a linen shop in a terraced home on the junction of Sloane Street and Knightsbridge in London. Over time, the company grew, and Benjamin hired Oxfordshire native James Nichols in 1841. After Benjamin passed away in 1850, his widow Anne co-founded Harvey Nichols & Co. with James Nichols. Since then, the business has expanded and changed while continuing to prioritise quality and elegance.
